One thing I’ve learned in my 5 years of marriage is that sometimes life requires sacrifice and selflessness. Earlier this week, Robin did something that was pretty selfless & sacrificial, in order to make sure that things remained in order in our house. Well, today, after examining some things, I’ve chosen to do the same, but this time for the benefit of Robin, my lovely wife. I won’t go into details, but I’m glad to be able to do it, knowing that it’s the best decision that I could make, even if it might mean I feel like I’m “losing out” later on. In the long run, I know I’m a winner because I will have done what’s right & for my better half.
Okay, I know this is over three years late, but I finally got around to putting the footage from my wedding together into a video. To be honest, I had no intentions of doing it this weekend, but after a huge fight with Robin on Saturday, it served as the perfect release for my anger and to soothe my emotions. Needless to say, she really loved it. I won’t get into all of those details, but let’s just say that I cranked this out in about 2-3 hours from raw footage (from about 4 different cameras) and I think it turned out nice. Please excuse the crappy audio quality; we didn’t use a mic, so you can only hear what was able to be picked up by each camera, and I tried to pick good shots that also had good audio as well. So, enjoy our wedding video shot on June 5, 2004. Oh yeah, this was put together using Windows Movie Maker (and used DVD Maker to put it onto DVD for Robin).

Hello everybody! I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that I’ve uploaded a few new albums to the photo gallery. Many are long overdue like our Christmas photos (didn’t take as many as the year before) and some other moments. So today is 2 days post Valentine’s Day and I’ll admit that I kind of forgot about it, and Robin isn’t letting me hear the end of it. With all that’s going on as far as moving and this new job, can you really blame me if that was the last thing on my mind? Plus not to mention not really having time to get her anything, not even a card (not to say that as an excuse).
Anyway, Robin is upset with me about it and keeps bringing it up every chance she gets. Sometimes I wonder why she gets so concerned with those things. Why? Because they’re just things!
Okay,now I’m really peeved with Robin. In the process of writing this, she decides to come and complain again about not getting something. Come on, how materialistic can you really be!
I’m done here for now before I say something I shouldn’t. I’m bewildered…
Okay, so I let Robin read one of my blog entries the other day (I make sure she reads the important ones, since she doesn’t check the site on her own), and now I’m convinced that she can no longer read UrbanWordz. Why, you ask? Because she always insists on correcting my grammatical errors and misspellings. Because of that, I’m banning her from this site, I don’t need my grammar corrected; it’s an online journal and I’m not overly concerned with grammar!
Okay, maybe I’m just ranting… I love my wife… her correction helps… and I’m just kidding, she’s not banned

Wow, I can’t believe how fast two years has gone by! Seriously, it still feels like yesterday that I was watching my beautiful bride walk down the isle so that we could join together in holy matrimony (keyword being holy). Today, two years later, we’re celebrating our two year wedding anniversary.
I’ll be completely honest in saying that these past two years have been far from easy. In that time span, I’ve lost 3 jobs, been unemployed for a total of twelve months, brought one child into this world, bringing in another one later this year, bought a house, bought a new car, and so much more. I really can’t believe how much I’ve done in just two years. It’s truly a gift from the Lord and a blessing because the devil definitely worked overtime in those two years to try to break us apart. He came close a few times, but I’m no punk and I’m not one who is going to back down from the enemy without a fight. Needless to say, I won this battle, well the Lord did, but you know what I mean.
When I look back at these two years, the most important thing that stands out to me is having a gorgeous wife who has been by my side through the thick & thin. She loved me even I when I made it hard for her to love me. I’m blessed to have a woman who will stand by my side no matter what. It takes a true woman of God to do that; most women would leave in some of the circumstances we’ve been in, but she stuck through it all. I adore her for it, and look forward to spending many more years together with her.
So, if you read this honey, happy anniversary! I love you! I’ve found heaven in you….
Pretty good day today… here’s a quick rundown of what happened…
8:30 – left the house to do some shopping for the day… Wal*Mart, McDonald’s (for my nourishment), Goody’s Family Clothing (to say hi to my mom), Books-A-Million, Shepherd’s Shoppe
10:00 – return home & prepare Robin’s flowers & chocolates
10:45 – personally deliver flowers & chocolates to Robin @ her job (totally caught her by surprise)
11:15 – head to Food Lion to pick up supplies for dinner
11:45 – chill & take a nap (Leila too, thank God!)
3:00 – leave for my eye exam @ 3:30
5:30 – leave eye doctor (my God were they busy!)
6:45 – fix dinner for Robin (double breaded chicken parmesan with linguine & garlic broccoli)
7:30 – waiting for Robin to get home from her “last minute” shopping
8:00 – we finally eat
8:30 – we chill on the couch & watch “He Got Game”… a Spike Lee joint… Robin had never seen it
11:00 – here i am giving a recap 
Overall, a very good Valentine’s Day. Robin is pooped since she’s pregnant so I’m letting her go to bed without any complaints from me. That’s it. G’night y’all!
Robin went to the OB/GYN today after work & they confirmed that she is indeed pregnant. So, she’s officially 6 weeks & 1 day pregnant (meaning our New Year’s celebration yielded MUCH fruit). Due date is October 1.
If it’s a boy, his name will be Raanan Emmanuel. Both are Hebrew names. Raanan means “Fresh, New” and of course Emmanuel means “God with us.” If it’s a girl, her name will be Liora Mari. Again, both names are Hebrew. Liora means “Light” and Mari means “Wished for child.”
Right now my head is still spinning… so I still don’t know what to think. Totally unexpected, but I’m excited about it.
Looks like our tax return is going to become the down payment on an SUV or mini-van, as I trade in my rather small Toyota Camry (it was roomy when it was just me).
It’s in God’s hands…

I just got finished setting up a WordPress blog for my wife.
It took some convincing on my part, but I was finally able to get her to let me set one up for her. I let her know that it could be an outlet for her to share her thoughts & keep in touch with her family. I hope that she uses it. I even did my best to make it look just the way she wanted it.
