Ahh, what a relief it is to be in Jesus!
A little talk with Jesus makes everything alright.
I had been having a very crappy week, and nothing had been going my way. To be honest, I hadn’t spent any time with Jesus in sometime, and I could clearly see the effects of my actions, or lack thereof. My confidence was low, I was indecisive, and had this nasty temper that was just coming out of nowhere; basically, I was sowing & reaping the fruits of my flesh.
Well, today, I skipped church and just decided to spend some one-on-one time with God. I cracked open my Bible and read whatever the Lord directed me to read, and then we had a nice long conversation. It’s interesting that as soon as I was finished, it’s like my entire attitude changed. I felt empowered, confident, decisive, and at peace. It’s just amazing how simply talking with God and spending time with Him can totally change your life around. It’s so much more amazing when you can constantly & consistently spend time with Him. I love Him, and I really feel the impact of it when I’m not close to Him.
Now that it’s all said & done, I’m much calmer and can peacefully spend time with my wife. There’s no strife & bickering between us and I feel totally at peace. I’m looking forward to the week ahead, walking in the Spirit of God. Ahh, what a relief it is to be in Jesus!
