What a Weekend!
Well, this was an eventful weekend to say the least. Friday my aunt & grandmother drove down from Virginia to attend Robin’s baby shower (on Saturday). So, Friday evening after eating dinner & everything (about 8:45pm) we headed over to my parents’ house so that we could say hi to them. Now, my parents live less than 5 minutes away from our house, but it took us a good 25-30 minutes to get to the house because they were doing construction work on the road. That didn’t help us one bit, as we got over there and everyone was tired (cuz it was getting late) and we ended up staying over there for about 2 hours.
Well, Saturday rolled around and it was Robin’s baby shower. The day was pretty average, didn’t do much other than lay around. But once I got to the baby shower (after it was almost over), I got put to work cleaning up and putting all the gifts in the car. We didn’t get home from there ’til about 9pm. Then we stupidly stayed up late watching Saturday Night Live (hosted by Tom Brady) and a few other shows.
Sunday was cool, although I really didn’t want to get out of bed. Church was bangin’ as always, and then afterwards we went over to my parents’ house for dinner and to see my aunt & grandmother off. We stayed over there a good while & had some good laughs. We got home about 4:30 or so… and just chilled the rest of the night.
Needless to say, I didn’t realize how much sleep I missed out on over the weekend until I woke up this morning dead tired. Guess I better get my sleep in now before Leila gets here!
