I did it last year, and I think I’ll do it again this year. I’ll give you my top 10 holy hip-hop & Christian rap CDs of 2006. Without further delay, here’s my list, along with honorable mentions.
1. Sivion – Spring of the Songbird
2. Surreal & DJ Balance – Future Classic
3. Procussions – 5 Sparrows for 2 Cents
4. Stephen the Levite – …To Die is Gain
5. Viktory – Believe It Now
6. Rob Hodge – Born King
7. Lecrae – After the Music Stops
8. TRUCE – The Refuge
9. Bar Wars – Legends of the Ecclessia
10. Whyte Fyre Boyz – Worldwide Warriaz
Honorable mention: Braille (Box of Rhymes… only cuz I haven’t heard it yet), Zee (Livin’ Proof), R-Swift (Revolutionary Theme Muzik), REdNOTE (Da Last Boy Scout), La Familia Muzik (The Hei$t), Pettidee (Thug Love), Excelsius (Final Evolution), Gospel Gangstaz (Flood), k-Drama (Behind the Glory), and JustMe (One Man’s Trash)
That’s my top 10 and a sampling of others that I felt this year. HipHop IS Music definitely reigned supreme this year.

    What up? The Much Luvv Fam – The Next Now gets no mention so sad. Do we need to send you the album to review it will be in Family Christian Stores Jan 16th, its been available online through 3hmp3.com, dasouth.com/busshop and http://www.realityrap.com since August of 2006… gotta check it out mayne…

    Hi LaRosa,
    If i was listening to Christian Rap back then, it would have been Stephen the Levite’s …To Die is Gain, HANDS DOWN. To me one of the most influential rap albums of all time (secular or Christian). Never has such a rap album caught my attention like that album. Great album, bible based…putting the Word of God down in the genre of rap with a lot of imagination. I know Flame and Truth is up there, but …To Die is Gain is my Fav…
