Bye-Bye Heaven’s Mentality
Well, you’ve probably already figured out that something strange is going on if you’re trying to get to Heaven’s Mentality and ended up here, but that’s by design. I’ve decided to let go of Heaven’s Mentality and simplify my life in regards to the time I spend on the Internet and the computer in general.
With the recent events that have occurred in my life within the past week, it’s really come to light how important my loving family is to me, and I really need to have the door open to spend as much time with them as possible. Now, I will still keep this website (UrbanWordz) going as it is more my online journal than anything else. I’m also keeping Trailblazin’ Media (www.trailblazinmedia.com) going as it is something to help make money on the side. If you know anyone that needs web design or hosting, tell them to hit me up!
Anyway, I know my taking down Heaven’s Mentality has come as a shock to many, but with dwindling numbers of hits over the past few weeks and all that’s been going on, it’s the perfect time for me to lay it down and reshift my focus. I’m going to spend more time studying the Word on my own to build myself up spiritually, instead of trying to seek a word for the masses. And I’m also going to spend more time with my family and try to get out of the house. I will still be spending time on the Internet and doing writing in other avenues.
Just wanted to give y’all the heads up. And I pray that you’ll keep stopping by this site, as I’ll always be giving out little nuggets of inspiration from the Word. Christ’s blessings be upon you!
I totally understand…maybe I am one of the few who do. Remember….I was the one who told you I didn’t want to see you online for atleast 2 weeks after Leila was born. Heavensmentality can always make a come back, but the Lord has blessed you with a beautiful, healthy daughter and she comes first. I’ll be looking for you in cyberspace someday…keep us updated!
Yeah, I’m not too worried about Heaven’s Mentality. Quite honestly, since shutting it down, I haven’t even given it a whole lot of thought. My life has been a whole lot simpler and I’m really enjoying it. I can come home from work and I don’t even have to worry about getting on the computer to check the forum, my email, or work on something for the site.
Yeah, there are moments where I miss working on it, but the positives of not having it outweigh the negatives right now. Just having this site is enough for me right now, and I’m in no hurry to have another “ministry” website; I don’t think people are really ready for that anyway.
