My Web Host Is Making Me Upset
For Heaven’s Mentality I have a Unix shell script set to run every hour on the hour so that the site can update itself. This comes in handy for devotions as I can set it up the night before to show the next day’s devotion at midnight; also, it works great for when I have to be away from the computer for days and I can automate everything.
Well, starting last Monday or Tuesday I noticed that the site wasn’t updating itself like it should. I didn’t pay much attention to it then, but it kept happening. On Wednesday I contacted the host and I haven’t heard from them since. I’ve called, but using my cell during the day, I can’t sit on hold for 30+ minutes waiting for them. It’s really frustrating me because this has gone on for an entire week and I haven’t even gotten a single response from them. To make matters worse, I’ve had to manually update the site all week in the mornings, just to make sure that it’s got fresh content.
If the problem isn’t resolved early this week, my host will become my ex-host if they don’t give me a good explanation!
